This procedure involves removing excess abdominal fat and skin to achieve a flatter tummy. During a mini tummy tuck, your surgeon will create a smaller incision above your bikini line. Your surgeon will then remove excess fat and skin from the area. Once the desired amount is removed, your surgeon will suture the incision line to close it. A dressing will be placed over your wound to protect it from injury and prevent infection. Once your wounds have healed, you will achieve a flatter and firmer abdomen.

After your procedure, surgical drains may be present in the treated area. This will help prevent body fluids from accumulating in your wound. You should expect mild swelling and bruising in your abdomen. These discomforts will subside after a few weeks. As you heal, we recommend that you avoid heavy lifting and other strenuous activities. You can do light walking exercises to prevent blood clots from forming. This will also help improve blood flow in your abdominal area.
